I have a full size keyboard. repeatedly pressing F12 worked.
I found the setting for closing windows when you close an app. isn't there
another one for not opening previously open windows on startup? I think I've
seen it before but don'tknow where to look for it now. can you tell me where it
Well, at least on the Mac a mute can be reversed with volume keys also. I
believe F10 is mute, F11 is volume down and F12 is volume up on most Apple
keyboards. Generally I have to use the Fn key with these. Also, in the sounds
system settings area is a play tone while adjusting volume setting
I seem to have accidentally muted my Mac. something on the keyboard tray was
too close and must've pressed a key when I moved it. how do I unmute it?

The scrub gesture is done with 2 fingers. It is like a lightening bolt or the

Move two fingers back and forth as if you are scrubbing dust off of your
screen, this usually activates the back button if one is present.

Donna,
I generally use the scrub gesture to exit braille screen input mode.
Someone introduced this to me a couple of months ago, and it seems to help with
the clunkiness some.

Hi all,
This may be a dumb question, but how do you navigate around it in a document
when you’re using braille screen input. I have found that Jonathan is correct.
In putting text works quite well. But I seem to get hung up if I need to jump
to another place in the document. Going into the
I’m surprised they posted about that, sense it’s pretty old news. That came
out about 5 or 6 years ago I think.

Curious to know if anyone is experiencing any strange behavior with
this app. Loading at startup with VO announcing "application" several
times while its loading. And are you able to access the menu bar with VO-m?

Hi Jonathan,
That's really interesting. I haven't spent a lot of time with the braille
keyboard, because I favor qwerty typing pretty strongly. But you've got me
curious, so maybe I'll give it another try.

Donna,
I find typing in Braille on the current IOS system has improved significantly.
If Braille is your first roar item, then Braille typing will always be to the
right of roar position when typing became available. There is a two finger
swipe to change keyboard swiping in the other
No worries, Alia, it didn't come across that way.
Yes, a good BT keyboard would do the same thing, but I've yet to find one of
those that fits comfortably in my purse, whereas it looks like this device
would. The other thought that occurred to me is that, now that iPhones cost
more than some
I wasn’t trying to imply you shouldn’t have sent it, hope that didn’t come
across that way, just discussing it. as for the motor issues, maybe, but
wouldn’t a good bluetooth keyboard work just as well? it’s also expensive.

Hi Alia,
Basically, I agree. If it provided a better typing solution I might have gone
for it, but I'm perfectly comfortable using the touch screen, so have little
interest in using a device such as this for iPhone operation. However, if
someone has fine motor challenges or something like
thanks.
this is my opinion only. the idea that is so appealing about the iphone is I
can use it as is. I don’t need anything “extra” to use it. same with mac. it’s
why I moved from jaws to mac. so why would you buy a special accessory that
makes you different again?! it’s just me, but that
Hi all,
This was in the Flying Blind newsletter. Not sure what I think about it, but
thought some might be interested. It seems to be a little hand-held device
that replaces the touch screen on the iPhone. Podcast is here:
