RE: Mark on the Aftershock (Shock) Open Run Pro and Open Fit Bluetooth Headphones for iPhone
Hello Mary, The documentation is technically VoiceOver accessible but not conveniently so. I gave up on the official documentation and, instead, performed several Google searches and watched quite a few of YouTube videos and read quite a lot of tech reviews and comparison of both products. To be honest, I purchased the Open Run Pro, first, then went home, paired them, fell in love with them, and decided to learn all that I could. While in the store, I saw the Open Fit and went back to the store. Best Buy has a Shock Bluetooth demonstration table so a customer can try each model and test them out, before purchasing. I realized that, although the Open Run Pro has amazing bone conduction tech and fabulous hardware, I was really seeking a replacement model for my Air Pods and the Open Fit was the answer. As for Amazon Prime, I think delivery time depends upon where one lives. 95% of the time, if I order a product before 3PM, I will receive it on the same day, usually, before 8PM. That may just be a Los Angeles kind of thing (smile). RE: Mark on the Aftershock (Shock) Open Run Pro and Open Fit Bluetooth Headphones for iPhone
Hello Kelly, You ask an interesting question. The sound quality between the two models is equally excellent but quite different. Remember, the Open Run Pro is transmitting sound through bone, not ear drums while the Open Fit is transmitting sound through eardrums not bone. Both devices allow for the same level of ear openness, so to speak. The Open Run Pro is one unit, made more for exercise and distance walking. It is not as compact as the Open Fit. However, it is sweat resistant and has sturdier hardware. The Open fit, is more like Air Pods, with a charging case that can easily fit in one's shirt pocket. It is no exaggeration when I tell you that I use them both and would hate to be without either. Mark on the Aftershock (Shock) Open Run Pro and Open Fit Bluetooth Headphones for iPhone
Hello Everyone, A couple of days ago, I purchased a pair of the Open Run Pro bone conducting Bluetooth headsets for use with my iPhone. I decided to buy a pair because I have a couple of friends who are using the Open Run models and when talking to them, I cannot tell that they are using a Bluetooth headset, the microphone quality is that good. I think they are absolutely amazing. What I did not discover until after purchasing is that, using the Shock app for iOS, one can change the voice profile. Kind of an E.Q. feature that I absolutely love. The cost of this model is approximately 180 USD. In fact, I was so impressed with the Open Run Pro model that, just 2 days later, I purchased the Open Fit model. With the Open Fit, you do not only have 4 preset sound profiles, from which to choose, but you also have a full equalizer feature. The approximate cost of the Open Fit model is 130 USD. There are several differences between the Open Run Pro and the Open Fit model. 1. The Open Run Pro is bone conduction. 2. The Open Fit, while not sitting in the ear, uses sound waves to conduct the sound. 3. Like Air Pods, the Open Fit can be worn on one ear at a time or on both ears. 4. Unlike Air Pods, both the Open Run Pro and the Open Fit can switch between Apple Watch and iPhone seamlessly as both models can connect to, two, devices, simultaneously. You can purchase these models from Amazon or from Shock.com or, like me, just go into your local Best Buy and grab a pair. Re: VMware Fusion/Player
Meant to ask earlier, if in fact one can only run version 13 of VMware under Sonoma. Again, thanks. From E.T.'s Keyboard... Re: VMware Fusion/Player
Ok can you find an official link to that from VMware? Then I could forward that to Apple Accessibility. I think doing that would be more effective. If I do not need to go to version 13 of VMware, it would be easier for me. I have been having trouble accessing anything on their site including captchas. Its all been a headache but I am not up to changing VM software right now. Thanks. From E.T.'s Keyboard... Re: VMware Fusion/Player
I have not. Last I heard, in order to use VMware under Sonoma, one had to update VMware version 12 to version 13. From E.T.'s Keyboard...
