Re: Thoughts on Tuesday’s event?
Hi Anders, Maybe it's a guy thing. My phone is always either in range here in my house, or, if I'm out, it's in my purse, which is nearly always in range of my watch. I would carry my phone in my purse whether I had the watch or not, so not having cell data on the watch is really irrelevant to me. I was an early adopter of the watch when it first came out, and the only time in all that time that I regretted not having cellular data on my watch was once when I took a weekend trip and accidentally left my phone at home. And that one incident isn't worth the $10 a month--or whatever it would be--that Verizon would charge me. Cheers, Donna > On Sep 18, 2020, at 1:11 PM, Anders holmberg wrote: > > Hi Donna! Hi Donna! You don't know what you're missing. It's so nice to walk around having the watch on your wrist and don't care for the heavy iPhone. The only problem I have is that when I'm on a call and have turn Bluetooth off on the iPhone I can get an incoming call on the watch. Donna, I'll take your advice to heart. I bought a Sharp Talking Time in 1979 and it's been lurking in my shirt pocket ever since. Wearing a watch again might take some getting used to. Hi, I think it has some new internal components, for the pulse oxometer and the hand washing thing, but I don’t recall anything about it being redesigned. It would be nice if it were thinner, but then, I would rather have the longer battery life, especially with the new sleep monitoring feature. Re: Thoughts on Tuesday’s event?
Hi! Well, i don’t really care as the XR fits me wall. As long as it works i am happy. It would be nice with a new watch though. I wonder if they’ve redesigned it? It could be a bit thinner in my opinion but i guess that would decrease the battery time. /A > 17 sep. 2020 kl. 22:51 skrev 'Kawal Gucukoglu' via MacVisionaries > : > > I was a bit pissed off (I know I shouldn’t use that) but no phone, I thought > how rubbish as I want a new phone as I need to upgrade at some point from > the 10. > > I have sold the watch so I might get a series 6. Hi! THe cannned crowd noise i am not sure i agree about. But the apple watch is pritty pritty good and since you might be thinking of the series 6 you will get even more features. I tell you that it has also got a noise or db meter which actually warns you when things are to loud for your ears. I need that as a heavy metal fan. BUt how did you view the show using the discriptive video? I am not really sure how that works? Re: Thoughts on Tuesday’s event?
Hi Dan, I've never regretted getting an Apple watch. I've been amazed by how much I use it. I use it for messaging, tracking heart-rate and work-outs, being reminded of calendar events, checking weather, playing music occasionally taking phone calls. It's just incredibly convenient to have all that stuff right on your wrist. The trick is, of course, when to upgrade. If you upgrade both your watch and your phone at the same time, you can spend a chunk of change. I usually try and alternate them. I've also been surprised by how much I use my iPad. It took me a while to warm up to it, but now, I probably use it as much as I use my Mac, and I am thinking about maybe someday not even having a Mac. Re: Thoughts on Tuesday’s event?
Hello, I listened to the event with the video description on my SE 2020. For the first time, I am thinking about getting an Aple Watch and giving serious consideration to getting an iPad. I've reached an age where healthe issues are a concern and the Apple Watch seems like a good tool to have handy. Since getting the SE 2020, I've been using my iPhone 6 Plus as an iPod but it is nearly 8 years old hence the interest in the iPad. The availibility of time payments makes them worth the look. The event was rather low-key without an audience but informative just the same. They should've followed the example of the NFL and used canned crowd noise Regards, Dan The nice thing about science is that it's true whether you believe in it or not. -- From: "'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries" Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2020 8:38 AM To: "via MacVisionaries" Subject: Thoughts on Tuesday’s event? Hi all, I’m surprised that there’s been no comment at all about Tuesday’s event, though, I have to say that without talk of a new phone, it kind of felt more like a non-event. :) But, just thought I would ask would people’s thoughts are. Personally, I don’t feel like there’s anything I absolutely have to have, but I am considering the series 6 watch, and/or maybe a new iPad. My current watch is a series 4, so upgrading to the 6 seems like it might be worth it, and the blood oxygen monitor seems kind of cool. I’m intrigued by the new iPad Air, though I’m not sure I want one that is that big. I currently have a sixth-gen 9 inch, and I like that size. Anyone else have any reactions? Yeah, if I had a series 5, I don't think I would upgrade. But going from a 4, it feels more worth it. Re: Thoughts on Tuesday’s event?
Hi! Kind of disappointing event. We’ll see if i get the new series 6 Apple Watch. I don’t need a new one but if it has other features than my Series 5 exept the blood oxygen monitor i might get it. /A > 17 sep. 2020 kl. 14:38 skrev 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries > : > > Hi all, > > I’m surprised that there’s been no comment at all about Tuesday’s event, > though, I have to say that without talk of a new phone, it kind of felt more > like a non-event. :) But, just thought I would ask would people’s thoughts > are. > > Personally, I don’t feel like there’s anything I absolutely have to have, but > I am considering the series 6 watch, and/or maybe a new iPad.
