Re: can't find unread mail messages

2015-03-11 Thread Jonathan C Cohn
Are you in standard layout? In the new layout, there is a pop-up box in the
messages column to select sort order and one of the options is unread. In
classic layout y I believe the status does do this, but I would need to test.

You can change the sort order from date to unread messages. This should help,
the other possibility is to create a smart mailbox of unread messages. In fact
the iPhone has one pre-created but not visible by default.

can't find unread mail messages

2015-03-04 Thread Christina C.
Hello,

I’m running latest version of MAC OS using mail in classic view. I have unread
messages but I can’t find them. Is there a way to find them or sort by unread
or something. I tried sorting via the status column but that didn’t work.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Hello Christina,

It sounds as though you have the preview pane visible. This means that when you
navigate to a message, it opens automatically, so you never see an unread
message. This is why I always disable the preview pane.

If you read your messages by doing VO-j to get to the body, you have the
