Problems with iTunes Converter Latest Version

2016-10-29 Thread Joshua Tubbs
Hello everyone,
To anyone who uses iTunes converter from Macsome:
Why the hell do they keep breaking it every version? The last version, it was
converting okay but very slow. Fine, at least it was converting.
Now for me, it is converting only the first track in a selection, and then the
second, third, fourth tracks etc always saying 0 percent, the progress never
moving.
Support is always saying it’s on my end, and I know well it is not, since the
version messed it all up, the one released on October 19.
I depend on this app to have new music for my internet radio show every week.
Hard to convert albums when only one track out of a selection converts, the
others giving an error!
Does anybody know of an app that actually works with the latest version of
iTunes?
Thanks.

A Quick Tip for Those Experiencing Any App Updating Problems in iTunes

2015-11-24 Thread M. Taylor
Hello All,

I am cross-posting this to both the Mac Visionaries and v iPhone mailing
list because I think the steps described below will apply to both the
Windows and Mac versions of iTunes.

Today, in iTunes for Windows, I received a couple of download errors when
attempting to update a couple of apps. The errors, effectively stated, that
the download URLs were invalid.

NOTE 1:
I use Jaws 16 for Windows on this particular PC. I make extensive use of
the Jaws Touch Cursor to interact with both iTunes and the iTunes Store.
The computer in this scenario does not have an actual touch screen.

Summary:
My solution was to cancel the download session, then right-mouse click on
each of the problem apps which displayed a list of options including one to
show the app in the App Store. Once there, I simply clicked the download
button for the app at which point it downloaded properly. Upon checking for
updates, again, the problem app was no longer listed.

NOTE 2:
The reason I update my apps via iTunes on a desktop is because, as of iOS
9.x, updated apps are no longer automatically copied from the iOS device to
the computer during sync sessions.

Steps:
The scenario in iTunes for Windows goes something like the following:

1.
Open iTunes and go to the Update apps section. A list/grid of all the apps
that have updates available should be displayed. If not, then click the
Check for Updates button.

2.
Select Update All.

3.
As the apps are successfully updated, they will be removed from the
list/grid.

4.
If there is an app that cannot be updated for various reasons, a dialog box
will be displayed with a cursory explanation as to why the download failed.
At this point you can attempt to resume the download, at which point it will
be successful; if not, go to the next step.

5.
If any of the apps fail to download, iTunes will be placed into pause mode.
Your only option at this point will be to attempt to resume the download at
which point failure will occur again. The only way to get out of this loop,
at least, the only way I have discovered, is to close iTunes.

6.
Re-open iTunes. You should immediately be returned to the most recently
viewed area of the application. In this scenario, the Apps update area.

7.
At this point your update list/grid will only contain the apps that have
failed to update. Right-mouse click on each app. From the resulting
Shortcut list, select "Show in iTunes Store".

8.
Once the app is displayed in the iTunes Store, simply select the Download
button. Upon successful download, the app will no longer appear in the Apps
Update area of iTunes.

Good Luck,

Mark

Re: problems with Itunes

2015-08-28 Thread Christina C.
Thanks, but it didn’t work. The crazy thing is that not even trying to
activate the app with quick nav will work. I have all the cursor tracking set
correctly. Something just may be wrong because I’ve also noticed that when I am
in a dialog box the cursor keeps wrapping from the bottom back to the top and I
have cursor wrapping set to off.

cursor tracking problems in ITunes

2010-09-30 Thread carlene knight
Hi Ricardo:

I can't find the original reply you gave me, but I know you wanted some idea
about what exactly is going on. Well, the mouse cursor wanted to stay on the
Apple Logo, or the previous song button. I was trying to do things all over
the place. Obviously the VO cursor was moving without the mouse cursor. Once
in a while the VO/command/f5 key combination would link them, but not very
often. It got rather anoying when I was trying to choose a song to play, or a
radio stream to listen too, and nothing would happen. I'd check the mouse
location, and sure enough, it would be on one of the previously mentioned
areas. have done a permissions repair, and now when I try to move from songs
to sources, I get a busy signal for a minute or two. The mouse cursor seems to
move better now, so maybe I can't have everything work. My remote app on my
IPhone takes a full minute or 2 to find my library now too. Thanks.

Cursor tracking problems with ITunes update

2010-09-28 Thread carlene knight
 Hi all:

I just wondered if anybody else has had tracking problems since the new ITunes
update? Sometimes even pressing vo/command/f5 doesn't do the trick either. I
seem to have probloems others don't, but this is really getting annoying. I
checked my cursor tracking options in the Vo utilities menus and they are
fine; no changes evident. Any ideas? Thanks.

Reporting problems with iTunes Store Purchases [was Re: An Itunes store issue]

2010-04-03 Thread Esther

Hi Krister,

I'll point you to the Apple Support document on How to Report an
Issue with your iTunes Store Purchase:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933

If you check your account purchase history, you'll be able to view the
transaction record for your purchase and copy the order number. Then
you can use item chooser menu to locate the Report a problem
button. Press it (VO-Space), and then paste in the information about
the order number and date, identify the track, and describe the
problem. They'll be able to check the track based on your information
and, if there's a problem, correct it so you can download a good
version, or credit you for the purchase if they can't provide a
satisfactory version. You get an email response within 24 hours, and
I think they can do a live chat session if you need to interact with
them in real time as a follow up.

1. Navigate to View My Account in the Store menu on the menu bar (VO-
M to menu bar, press s to go to Store, arrow down, press v to
View My Account, and return).

2. Enter your password in the dialog window for your account and return
3. Use item chooser menu to find the Purchase History button and
press it (VO-Space).
4. The purchase history page will contain a list of all your purchases
with the latest one at the top. Copy the date and order number
information. (You can use the VO-Shift-C last phrase copied to
pasteboard shortcut, then Command-V to paste in your report of the
problem in the next step).
5. Use item chooser to find the Report problem button and press (VO-
Space). You should give your transaction information (including date
and order number) with your report.

When you're finished, press the Done button to leave your account
page and return to where you were in iTunes. Things may be a bit busy
today at the iTunes Store with the launch of the iPad if you find it
slow to log in.

Re: Reporting problems with iTunes Store Purchases [was Re: An Itunes store issue]

2010-04-03 Thread Esther

Hi Krister,

I'm going to give you the email contact link for the iTunes Store
Customer service:

http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html

Your iTunes account page interface now seems to take you to the
support FAQ page when you use the Report a Problem, rather than
bringing up the contact email so you can just type in your question.
No reason for you to wander around that page looking for the Email
contact. (It does help to identify the date and order number of your
purchase, though). I've only ever had to contact Customer service
twice, and the interface was simpler then.

If you are talking about VO parameters, they are not affected by unloading and
reloading as far as I know. The last settings adjusted are remembered. I find
that using SnowLeopard, I can generally hit the spacebar on buttons and most of

Re: problems with itunes and custom settings for rip to mp3

2010-01-02 Thread Jake
Hi
Wow, I just tried this and I'd definitely call this a bug. It's not
just with 320 kbps either, but any time I try to use a custom MP3
encoder preset. I didn't notice this before because I use AAC, but I
just tried setting up a custom mp3 preset and it will not do anything
except 160. It's not VO misreading the new settings either, if I go
back into the import settings it's set at 160 again, and it happens
both with and without VBR enabled. It also won't accept any other
settings, it's not just bitrate. That's a nasty one.
A good cd ripper is Max from
http://www.sbooth.org
It's more advanced than iTunes' ripping features and I know its MP3
encoder correctly handles your bitrate settings as well as any other
options you set.

Re: problems with itunes and custom settings for rip to mp3

2010-01-02 Thread Thuy
Yes. I found the same problems too. I think it's only an issue with
Voiceover, because when I mentioned it to a sighted friend, he told me
that his settings took hold. I was able to get round it by mouse
clicking with the VO-Shift-Space and clicking on each of the settings
as well as the OK button, and even then, sometimes only one parameter
would change, and I needed to go back into the import settings several
times until the settings took hold. You might also need to click on
the desired popup checkbox, then the neighbouring one, and then back
to the one you require in order to make it stick? Hope you can get it
sorted?

Cheers

unnecessary. I was just playing around with this yesterday and thought, How
nice, it's fully customizable, well, I thought just a little to optimistically.
I can't get the settings to stick either. I wonder if this is just an itunes

Re: problems with itunes and custom settings for rip to mp3

2010-01-02 Thread Mary Otten
I think it is a vo problem. I had this problem a few days ago, and I thought I
was just messing up because I'm a new Mac user. I couldn't get the settings to
stick, but my sighted husband informed me that they were reading properly, but
vo was reporting them incorrectly.
