Re: Accessible password managers

2023-03-19 Thread Terje Strømberg
Yeah it sad that it seems like phones and computers has worse accessability
compatibility .strange. Should not be an issue in 2023.

Dropbox has a password manager that is called passwords. However, i only use
the copy password function. It may not be up to the task in auto fill in
passwords. As a side note Drop Box is still accessible. Also the free dns
nextdns.com and the free vpn 1 user tailscale.com

Shannon morse youtuber is absolutely not blind, but have some nice reviews of
password manager and other stuff.

Many thanks

I don't remember having to interact when putting in a password before,
but this seems to be a problem in the latest os. Part of me wishes I
could downgrade, but that would make me have to reinstall a bunch wich

You are spot on, I could not sum it up so well. Take Ventura, the
change from System Preferences to System Settings. The former was so
easy to work in. The latter not in the least.

I cancelled Apple TV+ because I could not put the effort into it.
And recently I deleted a text editing app because it kept harassing me
to subscribe. It used to be perfect for my needs. And I just cancelled
another app because I am wasting money. Want to share notes on !Password?

Life in the digital age. Good grief Charlie Brown. :)

I sadly echo your sentiment. I’m trying to communicate with developers but I
find that i spend most of my time managing technology, which in the end makes
me so sick.

Andrew,
I hear you. Its frustrating. But I am finding that more and more apps
are becoming less easy to use. Same with macOS which was simpler before
Ventura. The UI interface is changing and that may be why. I need to sit
down and focus on some apps like 1Passwird and take notes then send as
feedback. Sometimes I yearn for the "good ol' days" when life was

Apple’s own password manager is very accessible on Apple hardware. There is a
version for Windows as well, but I haven’t experimented with it.
As far as I know, there is no Linux version.
I’ve read favorable comments elsewhere about BitWarden, but I haven’t installed
it.

Re: Accessible password managers

2023-03-12 Thread Steve Matzura
I haven't tried this on other platforms than MacOS, but Bit Warden
looks pretty good. I just have a fundamental
objection to subscriptionware and storing a password container in the
cloud. That's one of the reasons I've stuck with 1Password version 4 for
as long as I have. I paid for it once and I can put my password vault
anywhere ai like, on any device, and it need never see the cloud.
