My wife and I purchased a new iPad last night for purposes of using it for
our college classes. She wants to use e textbooks and we downloaded the
Kindle application in order to do this. The first question is has anyone
used Amazon for these purposes or what application would you all use in

Kindle books are fully accessible on iOS, so that should not be a problem. That
said, textbooks may be different from the novels I've read with the Kindle app,
so see if you can test some out. Failing that, Voice Dream Reader is an
excellent book-reading app that supports Bokshare and other
I used to use Voice Memos before they change the interface. Now I really like
to use DropVox instead. It's a very clean interface with virtually no buttons
except record, and when you're finished recording it gets sent straight to your
dropbox account.
