If you do VO m, go over to view and uncheck where it says view as conversations and that is it sorted. As some of you may know, the first column in the “Messages Table” is a “Disclosure Triangle.” If you focus on that field in any given line, selecting the right arrow () will expand the thread so each message in the line appears as a “stand alone” message — still sorted according to the conversation parameter. The one problem here is that I don’t know of any way to recognize an “unopened thread” as such. But if you suspect a mubject to be one of a number of messages in a thread, selecting “” in the “Disclosure Triangle” will expand that particular thread.
