Do you use an external keyboard or anything like that? Is it possible that an
app is running in the background and causing problems? Did you make sur sure
that your app switcher is cleared before you restarted your iPhone? I have not
had any problems with my messages app. I have had problems
I have upgraded to iOS 7.1 .1 on my iPhone 5s. I have managed to clear out all
the unread messages, but Messages itself is frozen. My wife confirms that the
keyboard and cursor and everything freezes, so this is not just a voiceover
problem. The app itself seems to be malfunctioning.

That don't do no good either because I cain't select contact's mobile numbers
in cases where the home number is first.
