Skype questions

2012-12-23 Thread Allison Manzino
Hi All,

I am wondering if anyone knows the answer to the following. How do you delete
voicemails with the latest version of Skype? Also, do you know if any Skype
Phone is accessible with either VoiceOver or it's own built-in speech? THank
you for any help. I live in Spain and use my SKype number a lot.

Sincerely,
Allison

Re: skype questions

2011-01-10 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
I am wondering where I might find the skype tutorial referred to in this
thread. I have had my MAC only a few days and amtrying to get my head around it.

I downloaded skype onto the MAC Satu. How can i check this is the latest stable
release referred to?

I have the same short cut questions for answering, hanging up from a call and
finding my contacts list. With JAWS, control 1 tobring the list into focus is
rather useless and I don't want to go back to the dark side and revert to
windows. Any help appreciated.

Re: skype questions

2011-01-10 Thread Colin M
Hi Sharon!
You will find your contacts by interacting with the second table the first
table normally says empty table and the next one should say no selection thats
your contacts!
There is no shortcut keys for answer or hangup, but there is some software to
down load with shortcuts for both!

When you got skype if it said something like 2.8 or like that, you have the
stable one the other one is 5 beta!
The table before the contacts is for history or missed events!
Just after your account balance there should be a button you can check what its
set on by the command vo+shift+h it might be missed events but it should be
history!
If it is history you can label it yourself by the command vo+/ after you've
labelled that in future it will say that history but if it does not just
check it with that help tag command again and if it says missed events then
label it so!
From then on which ever one it is it will tell you!
Sorry for the long post!
So if it is history vo+space bar on it then scroll right to that first table
and interact with it and you'll get your history!
When your done stop interacting and go back to the button and press it again,
and when you go back to that table it should once again say empty!
Anyway I hope this is of some help!
Colin

 Keyboard shortcuts.

I think you can only type the first letter of a person's name in the contact

When you're in a chat window you can look for main frame, interact with that,

I wouldn't know why your contacts show up multiple times - never seen

While there isn't an obvious answer option in any menus, it will show up when
your skype-phone rings. Just vo right arrow till you land on answer then vo

Re: skype questions

2011-01-10 Thread Carolyn Haas
Hi Marlaina:
Chances are that in your address book, you have through various syncs to
iPhone/iPad/iPod inadvertently created multiple contact cards. If you open
your address book app, and explore, find the contact names. My guess is that
there are some repeats in there. It just happens over time, and you can delete
the extras.
