I remember that sharp keys was the solution I used several years back when I was using VMware to run windows on a Mac. I think at that point VMware also had a facility to do some key remapping and I use that method as well. You won’t go wrong using sharp keys though. I’d kind of like to set up

program called Sharp Keys to do this. It basically edits a registry value.
You can also look for PowerToys in the Windows App Store.
to set it up, I have to use VOCR to read the screen.
My VO key is caps lock key.
it’s like the VM doesn’t see the key.
