I had the same problem, especially when my Mac would wake up. It turned out
that we had added a defective memory stick.

Hello James,
This is probably just the same old weird untraceable bug in VoiceOver that's
been around for a long time. I press Cmd-F5 four times and VoiceOver comes back.
If your Mac really is freezing, then this isn't happening to me.

Yes, I just do the same as Anne expressed, pressing cmd-f5, wait a second, do
it again and after repeating this 4 or 5 times, VO begins speaking again. Your
computer is not freezing at all. Just for interest sake, in your Energy Saver
Preferences in System Prefs, check the box that tells
