Re: Help needed with DJay pro

2015-04-16 Thread Bill Gallik
I want to post a sincere “Thank You” to Scott for directing me to the DJAY
Podcast, that helped tremendously!

In addition to this though, I want to confess my temporary mental meltdown upon
initially launching DJAY Pro; seems I got myself into “System Preferences” for
DJAY and totally spaced out that I was not in the main user dialog window. One
big “DUH” for me!

2015-04-16 Thread Scott Davert
Bill.
Glad it was helpful. This has me reconsidering my now defunked mixing
career. I was quite heavily involved with DJing and electronic music
several years back, before we had all of these options that were
mainly accessible and before I ever used VoiceOver on the Mac. All my
mixing was done on Windows software, but there wasn't the braille
display support I needed to continue working with the software options
I was looking at.

Best of luck,
Scott

Re: Help needed with DJay pro

2015-04-16 Thread Yuma Decaux
Hey Scott,

Never stop it. I used to Deejay before I lost sight but couldn’t stop going.
Now my rig’s quite messy because of the number of things I’ve connected to my
setup but I use Logic pro x and deejay in concert with a bunch of controllers
and instruments. Deejay can be placed as a channel in logic pro x with
controllers assigned to deejay controls and others to logic pro x controls. I
would recommend to anyone to use controllers. The initial mapping setup is a
nightmare to do, test and retest but once you got it, there’s nothing more
entertaining and fun + you can do things very quickly instead of voing around
with standard keys.

Controllerizm beats typing everytime.

Cheers,
