Re: editing videos made on Zoom
Picking up on this old thread to say that it appears to me the full-featured version of TwistedWave should be able to do this, in other words edit .mkv. webm, .mp4, etc. files. At least that's how I read the documentation for this $99 edition of TwistedWave. In my copious spare time I'm trying to figure it out, because I'd dearly love to be able to do this. I'm not very far on my learning curve, but I suspect anyone with skills in the less featureful versions of TwistedWave would have no problem. I'm still trying to figure out how to select a region of audio plus video and cut, copy, past it; or apply filters to it, etc, or simply save the region to a separate file. What I have not yet come to in the documentation is an understanding as to whether the fade-in and fade-out supported in TwistedWave also applies to the video, i.e. fade in from black and fade fade out to black. hth! Re: editing videos made on Zoom
Irfan, I'm speculating that fade-in/fade-out over perhaps 200 ms would work reasonably well, even for a person who doesn't see the results of the video edit. Extracting the audio and editing it is, as you say, another story. But, I suspect most people who can see will want to have the video preserved. So, I'm wondering whether my conjecture (above) has merrit. Would love to find out! :) Janina Herbie Allen writes: > If you want to preserve the video, then no. I'd also like to know this, whether Zoom or some other format such as mp4, mkv, or webm. It would be helpful if the editing app supported fade-in and fade-out over splice points to make the result smoother visually and aurally. Re: editing videos made on Zoom
I’ve made videos using QuickTime. It’s pretty straight forward in my experience, though I haven’t had to do a lot of editing. I do always ask someone sighted to provide feedback about the video quality, though. If you want to preserve the video, then no. The issue is that if you can’t see, you will not know what’s happening with the video part. If you just want audio, that’s a different story. > On Dec 27, 2022, at 16:16, Lorie McCloud wrote: > > Is there an accessible program that can be used to edit videos made on Zoom? > I’m working with somebody who’s making videos for her youtube channel but > hasn’t learned how to edit and I’m not sure she ever will. > > thanks. > Lorie > > -- > The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries > list. > > If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if > you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or > moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. > > Your Mac Visionaries list moderator is Mark Taylor.
