Re: user log in weirdness MBA
Hi, This is an issue with respect to Display sleep and/or Screen saver implementations. What seems to be going on is similar to when a user has their Mac set to require a password after sleep or screen saver. This setting is found in the Security pane of System Prefs. Since you likely don't have this enabled, the MacOS still seems to bring forward the authentication process htough, but it is disabled and therefore cleared by the usual methods of clearing screen savers or waking up the computer. I haven't determined a way around this yet. It's not an issue for me as I have my computer set to require my password anyway to wake it. ET has also been frustrated by this action. Probably, it would be advisable to submit it as a bug to Apple. Not sure how easy it will be to fix, but that's why they get paid the big bucks. Later... Re: user log in weirdness MBA
Um.. nope, not that I can remember, anyway.. do you know how to fix this? I did try the vo space thing, but if I hit *any* key on the keyboard, the window goes away, only to pop up again a few minutes later. I did go into the users and log in area of system prefs, and deleted all the users but myself and the guest account. Hubby used to share the laptop, and for some reason, I also had an extra account for myself(not sure how that happened!). thanks for any insight/help!
