It sounds like you’re getting the wooshing sound that you hear when you activate Mission control. Try pressing control up arrow or control down arrow and see if that’s the sound because control up arrow is the default Sonoma keystroke to activate mission control. If you are clicking a mouse and
I am running Sonoma, and do not hear this.
Try going into System Settings > Sounds, and see if you can change your alert
sound.

Hi all,
In sonoma, if I click an icon on the desktop, sometimes I hear a

Hi all,
I’ve worked out how to change the in coming sound in my mail app on the Mac for
my emails, but I can only find the sounds that came with the Mac. I do have a
few sound effects on my iPhone that I got through the iTunes Store and I was
wondering if I can use those on the Mac as well

In System Preferences, Sounds, under the Sound Effects tab, we have
a table of the built-in sound effects. there is no information on what
action activates each sound. Or perhaps what I am actually looking for
is related to user interface sounds and in that case, is it possible to

is it possible to adjust the volume of the various VoiceOver sound effects? you
know the thunk, bonk, click and other noises . I want to adjust their volume
relative to VO so they aren't so loud, but still audible.

Hi,
I don’t think this is possible. Truth be told, I turned off Voiceover sound
effects about 3 years ago. I honestly don’t miss them. For me, they never
gave any usable feedback, and they make Voiceover navigation slower since, the
effects and speech aren’t played simultaneously.

I'm going to give that a try myself Ricardo. They are superfluous sounds. from

Hi there,
Thomas,
Did you get your sound effects files from random places from the web
or did you go to one place for them? There used to be a website I got
sounds from, for wav files but I don't remember the URL. It had a
whole big bunch of all kinds of effects, snips from Movies and TV
Try wavcentral.com
and a google search will bring up all sorts of storehouses for cartoon
sounds, Start Trek / wars sound, you name it. Everything' been
sampled and bye-sized. :)
