Sorry, We discussed this on IRC a bit and the consensus was that packages in extras-devel are expected to break sometimes. Regular users shouldn't use extras-devel and leave it enabled. As nobody else has stepped forward to update the obviously broken package, I can remove it for you if you

I would like to do this too. Perhaps on the promote page, you could add a delete? The Autobuilder's new requirement that the number always INCREASE (and according to debian package sort order, not just being different) means that there is a lot of clutter, and because I didn't name them right
