maemo mapper will talk to you. You have to install something extra,
but I don't remember what it is... Search around intertnettablettalk -
I know the answer is there somewhere.

I am guessing all of your answers can be found at:

If not, then I am sure someone will be nice enough to answer them for
you here. In short - there are options for installing the more recent
versions of maemo on the 770, but I am not up to date on the details.
Hotsync over the network works just fine. Cheers,

I'm sorry - you are right. The radio was an easter-egg.

All of your answers can be found by reading the N800 manual, which is
located on the N800.
In short:
a) yes, there is a real FM tuner. You need to have earphones plugged
in to receive a signal. You can choose to use the speakers to listen
to it, but you still need them plugged in.

A quick reply - the browser does have cut and paste. Just double tap
the screen where you want to highlight, then drag. You can then hold
the stylus on the highlight part, which brings up a menu with copy as
an option, or you can invoke the keyboard, and choose copy in the menu

There is a thread (or two) about this on ITT.

The thinkoutside sierra keyboard works. And it folds up, which the
apple KB does not.

Canola sees my iTunes share, but won't actually share it. I think
Apple did something, so that only iTunes will share with iTunes now.

This is really funny, because I really want a big clock! I started a
post at ITT about it. Maybe a big clock screen saver. Here's a
thought - how about a clock that has the option of letting the user
decide how big it is?

Did you search internettablettalk.com? Mounting has been discussed
quite a bit, and I know it can be done. I am not sure how well it
works for accessing media though, as the transfer rates may not be
good enough. When I had cifs set up I never tried this.
There are also other streaming programs
Have you tried using the "return" key - the one above the home and

There are a few other BT KBs that also work with the N800. Search the
interenettablettalk forum for some ideas.

This seems to be a chronic problem with Opera on the N800. One common
fix is to make sure your date and time are set properly - including
the date format.
I am rather sure there is a bug report on this issue - I think I
started it... It seems to have gotten worse though since the upgrade.

The current Gizmo version's keypad doesn't work on the n800, and to
accept an incoming call you need the keypad... doh... I am sure
they'll fix it - actually I wonder if anyone has complained - er -
filed a bug on that?
BT headsets are not supported on the n800. BT Keyboards are

You can buy any RS-MMC (aka mmc mobile) 1 GB card . It does not have
to be a Nokia branded one.
For example, a quick look on NewEgg gives:
