serf was updated to 1.0.0 in svn but did not build
I fixed the build because current serf (0.7.2) needs to be rebuilt for
removal of libexpat.la but I have no idea if this is safe to upload the new
version or if I should revert the update to 1.0.0 in svn

still stuck on bootscreen/plymouth dots.
I get a message on tty1 about wait-for-playmouth-quit failed, see systemctl
status
And GDM starts on tty2.
