In our organisation we noticed that with the AVI option checked on the
'Plugin administration: blocktype: file/internalmedia' screen, it was

error when attempting to add saml auth with 'create users' checked

After a thorough investigation about these authentication plugin and
import methods, I think it is ok to create new account without primary
email address as this mandatory field will be filled by the user when
he/she first attempt to log in.

As a side-note, I must say that the strftimedatetimeshort format seems
to be rather misnamed, considering that it's not in any way a short
version of the strftimedatetime format (at least in the en.utf8
language).
