I am unable to replicate this problem on Chromium on Ubuntu 12.04.
Son, are you able to disable any plugins you have installed on Chromium
and see if the problem still occurs?

Of course, part of comment moderation is that Page owners get a notice
when someone comments on the page. In the case of Group pages, no one
gets a notice when someone comments on them. So no one is ever likely to
come by and approve the comment. Then again, why should that mean people
can't use
Ah now I see what is going on - there are two authinstance columns, one
in usr, one in auth_remote_user.
If I update a user's auth on /admin/users/edit.php it updates both table
columns
But if I do bulk update it only updates the usr table and not the
auth_remote_usr table as well
