in MailMate’s Preferences, there’s Security > Composer: OpenPGP > Sign by
default > Based on history. As I understand it, the setting should work in a
way that when I sign a message for a contact, MailMate should automatically
enable signing the next time I compose a message to
accounts in
any way.
So, I’m kinda done there.

message with the string “Forwarded message:”. As I understand from similar
requests in the mailing list archives, it’s not possible to customize this
line. Is this still true for the current (5860) version
FWIW, I found the extensive release notes pretty interesting to recap what has
changed since the last official release. However, I had expected the release

yes, that’s what exactly what I did. Now, in an act of despair, I did a clean
install of MailMate, copied back my settings, and for whatever reason, the
preference now takes effect.
