Since I know how I use forums, if something interesting turns up, someone let me know. ;-) Does anyone know a good mailing list dedicated to the History of Cartography I could join? It has definitely been interesting. Take care, John Day This is a MapHist list message. This list will close soon. Thanks to all MapHist contributors of the past. As a typical "non-forum" person this is probably my last mail to MapHist in any form. The MapHist Forum is discussed by a few persons and tested for some time now, and, since the traffic on the list is low, it is now the time to officially open the forum. It is at http://www.maphist.nl/forum There is not much on it now, but I hope it will be filled soon with messages. You can view and read all messages without registering. For posting and replying registration is necessary. When registering, please use your real name as username and give your affiliation (if any) in your profile or in a signature. You will see that the forum consists of several categories and subforums - the main subforums are divided chronological according to the Harley/Woodward History of Cartography. If you want to discuss these subforums, please do that under the forum "MapHist Forum News". Please, do not continue the discussion on the mailing list (or post your message to both, mailing list and forum). Mid-january the mailing list will be closed. The archives of the mailing list will be transferred to the http://www.maphist.nl website.
