I have a database of points (1000's of them!) with a column defining
geographic location using Ordnance Survey Grid References.
I would like to use MI's create points function on this dataset but it
seems to me that x,y coordinates are required using degrees (lat/long).
A question to all you Vertical Mapper experts.
When performing a slope analysis it would appear that VM calculates slope
(degrees or percent, it doesn't matter) by dividing vertical displacement by

The reason that these cannot be accessed is that the data was originally
generated at the definition of 6 decimal places, so the data stored in the
tables is only to the accuracy of the original inputted data. The bounds
statement is only good if you want to add new data to the table,
Does any one have experience with Claritas Mapping? I
understand that it uses the MapInfo engine. Any information (pros/cons)
regarding MapInfo .vs. Claritas Mapping would be greatly
