Mazuaz, If I recall correctly, you must explicitly state that you want to convert maps to GIFS during the MapExtreme setup. This is because the GIF format is copyright protected and you are required to pay your dues. If you ommit this the GIF format is not available. Roeland - Original

In MapJ 1.0 only tiff seem to work. For us, in version 2.0 all rasters seems to work but are unstable. For now, we don't use anymore MapJ for draw rasters, we draw the raster in a bufferedimage and insert this raster layer on the workspace in the rendering process of MapJ..
