save your table using "save as copy...", the dialog will prompt for a new name
for the copy and the "projection"button will allow you to assign any metric
projection like UTM instead of Lat/long.

I totally agree with your comments on Bill's outstanding efforts. Not
only is it comforting to know the list survives because of his efforts
but his wit and superb diplomacy in mediating disputes are always a

Dear Experts,
As I am pretty new with Mapinfo, I would be grateful if you can share your views on
this matter.
Problem:
I have a layer with close polygons (e.g. Layer A) and another layer of just straight
lines (e.g. Layer B). If we overlay the two layers, these polylines will pass through

My company wants to store MapInfo maps on a server in the US and access them

Are any users accessing MapInfo maps remotely either with or without a

Hi All,
Thanks for the great discussion on Best GIS for the Dollar. I definately
learned a few things! One more question and I will leave people alone.
Can anyone suggest GOOD periodicals focusing on Business GIS? There are
lots focusing on resource management, but business apps?
Thank you all
I was pointed to this URL for "Connect the Dots" It works great, after I

Ever since the "I Love You" virus hit us, some of our workspaces are not

Could this be related to the virus somehow? Or could it be that in

Archana,
This was sent to me a few months ago by Sheila Quan for essentially the same
thing you are asking to do. You may have to play with the sql a little (like
the columns you want to show in your query, etc), but this works great. Good

It's about time that Bill's effort was properly appreciated by the list

Hi,
I'm writing a Mapbook application in MapBasic that prints out the roads
in the Township on 8.5 X 11 mapsheets. Part of the information I want
to print on the four sides of each page is the map # of the adjoining
page, as well as the current date.
There must be a way to put that information

that error message brings back (not so) fond memories - have you changed any
of the table structures? if you have that could be the problem, the "36" in
the error message is the line number in the workspace file, have a look at
it in a text editor and see what the variable name is, does it
25 matches
