Cameron,
I would recommend that you select the objects from one table at a time.

The second one is : Resolve Workspace Tables from Steve's Mapinfo User's

And it's very useful ! But has nothing to do with thematic map...

Unfortunately, it seems - from this article by an Associated Press writer -
that some ideology has crept into disaster relief.

Maybe it's 100% wrong, though ...

Hi List,
An interesting one...
I want to use some mapinfo maps in our mapping display engine. Our
engine only supports raster maps, so I thought I'd export my mapinfo
vector map as a bitmap. Just a couple of problems with this:
Our engine needs the map to be projected as WGS84 UTM and the bitmap
Is it possible to load and run MapInfo from a USB flash drive?
The reason I ask is because I'll be travelling overseas for five weeks (in a
few months) and would prefer to just take a USB drive loaded with a working
version of MapInfo and my important client data, rather than lugging around

Hi Bill,
Usually, Windows programs are installed onto a PC as opposed to copied.
This implies that all sorts of items are copied to many different locations
on the PC (Windows/System, DocumentsSettings, ProgramFiles etc.), plus a
number of registry keys are added to the registry.
This makes it
Hi Lars (and others),
I only thought of this idea after reading an article on the Toms Hardware
Guide website about installing Windows XP on a USB flash drive.
If interested, the article is at:

But yes, it sounds like it may fall in the too

So I downloaded the famous google earth tool.. That CNN constantly uses
during the Katrina coverage.
It's just GREAT..
For you outdoors enthusiast, if you go to nepal to see Mt. Everest and
you zoom in closely to base camp.

If you think that's kool, check out Google Earth Hacksmy personal
favorite is the Flickr plug-in that loads icons for pictures taken and
geo-logged near wherever you are looking.
Quite neat stuff.

It *is* pretty cool! So is NASA's World Wind (a similar product, and that
one is open source.) In fact I think we might just be seeing the next
paridigm in what people will expect from a mapping program. If you add
some analytical tools, and maybe a joystick interface, I think this will
become the
So just have to ask - how do we integrate this with MapInfo?? The images
are AWESOME!!!

Barbara,
If you are using Google Earth Pro, you can purchase the optional GIS
importing module ($200). It directly opens native TAB files, allowing
you to overlay your data on the Google imagery. I bought this add-on
and have found it to be an excellent investment.

There is a free tool that you can download from DirectionsMag site, which I
can't seem to get onto at the moment or else I'd include a link!! The tool
will convert layers from a map window into KML format, which you can then
load into Google Earth (under File - Open). There are some limitations
I am a new MapInfo user, and I need some help. I have built a
zip-to-territory alignment using MapInfo and now I need to print the
territory maps to deliver to our sales force. I have 100 territories,
and I am looking for an automated way to focus on each territory, set
the territory color to
Hello all MapInfo programmer type people...
I've been working with the mapinfow.mnu file to add HotKeys for various
functions we use all the time (split, combine, select update table, etc). That
all works nicely. *pats self on back*
However, what i'd like to do, but haven't had enough time
it really is not that hard
1)
open regedit with startrun
find MapInfo in the software section of both
HKLM [local machine] and HKCU [current user]
highligh the MI section on the left
then do RegistryExport Registry File
besure to name each accordingly like MI-HKCU.reg
and copy to the USB
