Hi,
There are differences, like (as you note below) if you require WFS-T then
mapserver will not be of much use. Most differences are due to the java vs cgi
underlying approaches. The config gui for geoserver is nice, but a bit of
experience scribbling (or cut'n pasting) mapfiles means the gui
Hi,
I am not sure if I understood the situation but here is my guess anyway.
Perhaps the print utility is asking a WMS image with better resolution
for printing than for screen usage, so with bigger WIDTH and HEIGHT
values. The external WMS server may have such size limits that the high

Hello,
I have a WMS source as part of my application. When I try to print when the
WMS is part of a .map file the print output is fine. However, when I try to
print when the mapsource type is 'wms' I do not see the image on my map. Is
this a bug, limitation, or has it been resolved?
Thanks

Best place to look is the maplexer.l file. It lists all the keywords recognized
by the mapfile and symbolfile tokenizers.

If it worked in TextWrangler too, that would be very cool!
If you get one pulled together, please announce it to the list.
David.

Ok, I seem to have found it in the archives:
"You need to set a SYMBOLSCALE at the layer level. That's the scale
denominator (e.g. 10) at which a label SIZE will be equal to what you
set in the mapfile. As you move away from that value
the labels will get larger or smaller.

Hi. I tried the following request: http://pastebin.ca/1862976
I get an error from the service:

The new XML you wrote seems to be valid, so I think, this is a bug in ArcGIS,
so I'll contact our supplier about that. If I
