Hey folks,
as far as I have followed the development so far it seems that both logo and
icons (which make the gross of our branding) for the current release (3.3)
have been used quite extensively and seem to be the ones we will settle on
in the long run. I still want to share some thoughts about

Great, I really like the logo. And has anyone noticed that it looks
like both a shield and an open book (with some imagination)? LibO
could also use some stong logo on that basis.

Hi there
Today the W3C launched their logo and more... see:
As far as I know, web browsers do some color grading on png files.
I've encountered that before. This doesn't happen on jpg files. Try
saving the logo file as jpg, open it in your browser and repeat the
color picking. I'd not be surprised if that was the problem.

Just a small question (and offer): when will we arrive at a point
where decisions about the logo are made? I read somewhere that you
want to form a group who takes care of the whole branding issue, and
I'd like to be part of that team.
Thanks,

Thanks for your comment, Thorsten.
The cuts and different colors make it harder to see an LO in the
symbol.
True, but you get a flower for that ;-). No, I see what you mean. But
what about the weights for L and O? Is it better that way?
Writer/Calc/Impress/Base being 4 parts shouldn't be
if YOUR logo
is being used in such an application.
I'd really appreciate some feedback on these ideas of mine. If you
think this is a good idea I can set up a wiki page with the
guidelines.
Thanks,
Joey

That's what I thought, too. But I may be mistaken.
What about the enhancements of the logo I proposed in my first mail?

Hey,
I see no general problem with the current logo. However, just using a
font, typing a name and saying this is my logo is not the way logos
are done, usually at least. I know we're just at the beginning but
still I felt like doing some enhancements. So here we are:
By the way: can I rename files on the wiki? Logo.svg is not really
self-descriptive and I just noticed it after having uploaded the file.
Thanks.

The color files still miss some testing - so please give them a try. But
not only the compatibility, also some color blindness issue descriptions
would help a lot!
I've uploaded information on the three most common vision
disabilities. The link is right below your color table.
Hey there,
my name is Johannes Bausch. I study physics in Heidelberg, Germany.
Some of you might still know me, I've been doing some work on the
logos for OOo 2.4 and 3.x some time ago. While I was really surprised
of the split between OO and LO when I first heard about it I think I
