I wanted to update my records on which museums and institutions offer images
for academic

The Missouri History Museum in St. Louis offers images for academic
publishing/ professional licensing at:
http://mohistory.licensestream.com (for immediate payment/delivery). We
do charge fees that help us offset digitization costs.
And all images in our (Beta) Collections
