Great news on the advancement of the Math extension.
I would like to point out for those unaware, there is also the
SimpleMathJax extension which uses the same MathJax backend, but instead of
requiring your own service on the backend, it does the substitutions

I believe this is great news for many users since this extensions was
among the extensions giving the most pain in the past from what I have
seen or even experienced myself. I very much apprechate your effort and

This comes also just in time
In the past, administrators of MediaWiki installations faced a
challenging installation procedure when they tried to enable rendering
of mathematical formulae. As of February 22, no configuration or
custom installation is required with the latest versions of MediaWiki
core and the Math extension,
