There's a new version of the document up on the wiki page now (http://wiki.meego.com/Quality/Compliance#Specification)
In the previous TSG consideration of the spec, there were concerns around the GL/GLES question, and around the description of the Platform API. To attempt to address those, changes: - in section 2.5, it's noted that Atom platforms use OpenGL and ARM platforms OpenGL ES - in section 3.4, the MeeGo API bullet list no longer includes GL or WRT - in section 3.5, the Platform API now calls out GL, notes the arch difference, and indicates a future direction that's known (all GLES) and one that's possible (once it's all GLES, move to MeeGo API) - also in 3.5, wording changed to indicate the "Platform API is everything else in Core" model is the current state, but might not always be the case, hopefully providing a bit further incentive for developers to consider the MeeGo API the thing to look at. There's also a line added to the warning about lesser compatibility, that it's possible the Platform API might be reduced in size in future. these changes are diff-marked. if there are further changes before tomorrow, let me know - one change already got caught after my first effort (I hadn't understood the state of GL was different between ARM and Atom, hopefully that's now expressed in a way that matches the implementations) -- mats _______________________________________________ MeeGo-dev mailing list MeeGo-dev@meego.com http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-dev
