bottom line of the ID plate the color code for a 79 240D? That number is
580-can't find that on these or any paint charts. How do I access/where

You need a few things to make these things work right, aside from the normal

30 PSI of fuel pressure
working trigger points
throttle valve switch properly adjusted
throttle linkage and heim joints in good shape
That doesn't look like the Lister diesels I have been looking at. They are
way cool, operate without glow plugs, but usually have a heavy fly wheel
(don't see one in the picture). To start you prop open the valves, get the
wheel turning, when you got fuel you un-prop the valves. Operate
more likely a generator for an RV

I have removed the fan in a 126 and multiple 123's. I remember it
being something along the line of 'pull off the knee bolster
If this attachment is not stripped, here is a picture of the tag on the
radiator brace with the codes. The 702G is the paint code.
