but the discussion on best MBZ diesels is a little confusing.
My understanding is that CA had the 1995 300D (turbo) and the 1999 E300

It could be the turbo oil drain tube leaking by the gasket at the turbo. If
the VC gasket hasn't been changed in a while, it's probably due.
