My 240D rusted a hole in the passenger side floor exactly like that,
without significant rust elsewhere on the car. I suspect some sort of
design flaw... I just welded in some new metal.

the headlamps on than the alternator can put out -- I replaced the
alternator in my Volvo for the same reason, battery kept going dead at

does not. Perhaps if the bulk of the crack was filled with
urethane foam, matching the bulk of the dash material, then

silver not gold. And it did the trick.

You have to consider the whole picture. The way it works with these
cars is you pay $2000 for the car, then another $3000 in making up for
deferred maintenance over the next year. ;)

Hello, all. My trunk will not open. The battery is dead so the vacuum system
is down and the latch does not automatically release when I unlock the driver's
door. The key will turn the lock on the trunk and the button will push in, but
the latch will not release. Please help!
