Dieselizing the E, R or ML is a 1 grand upcharge. I am told that the 4.0 V-8
diesel will be offered in the GL next year.
Unless it's a complete model change, I don't see why you'd wait a year
for the bugs to be workes out. The ML270 CDI has been out for over 5 years

That is not the V-6 Bluetec offered in the R, ML and E-Class. I think the
only vehicle sold here with that engine is the Sprinter van.
