With the transmission, a lift helps a lot. You just undo the tranny mount,
walk over & shove the tail shaft over with a long pry bar (4' galvanized
steel fence post) & wedge something in there to keep it in place.
Wish I still had access to a rack myself.

Hm...Is that something like when the Church used to sell "indulgences"
where you used to be able to get away with most any horrendous crime or do
other bad things but then buy your way out of it?

You can borrow a radiator/cap pressure tester at Autozone. Just pay for
the thing and they refund your money when you return it.

He "buys carbon offsets", so that makes his consumption all right.
If you have more money than fortitude, you can just buy yourself
into ecological utopia.
Why not pressure test the system with the engine warm? Some of the macparts
places may do it for free.
I slide a cardboard under and look for droppings.

There are actually quite a number of trouble codes that can be set
that will not trigger a chack engine light. There are individual pins
that allow you to dump codes on a number of different computers, and
only those codees that directly relate to emissions are passed on as
check engine. For the be

There is a world of difference between working on a car in a driveway
and working on a car on a rack. Brakes take 2X longer in the driveway
and some other jobs can be an easy 5X longer in the driveway.

Complete B2 replacement with new seals can be done "in about 10
minutes"... with the transmission out of the car. :^)
Takes me more than 20 minutes just to remove the old seal that holds
the bushing in place with the transmission in situ. Can't see what
you're doing and have to work by feel.

It is one thing to make people aware that going fast pumps out more
emissions but another to make

Cavitation?
Yes, this is what caused the problems in my '85. With 180Kmi, it could very
well have cavitation issues already.
