For one thing you have no way of testing the gear box or climate system.
Be a pain to
..205 is 205mm wide, 65 means 65% as tall as it is wide, so
205*.65*2/25.4+15=25.5..
Pretty close.
And the ten inch wide 255/35X18 rear tires on my C300 are guess what:
25.02 inches high.

Your explanation seemed illogical so I looked for a second opinion. Seems
the jury is still out.
I am having a difficult time convincing myself that a 65 isn't a 65, no
matter how wide the tire is. Just because the tire is wider, it shouldn't
necessarily be taller.

From the looks of the car in Google Images, a C300 isn't a Mercedes -- it is
a Toyota Corolla with a different grill.
THIS is a Mercedes: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1939/italy8742qn.jpg
If you can't see the Benz trident when driving down the road, it is too new
for my tastes.

Seems like you're the only one not agreeing with all the rest of us.

I suppose logic would dictate that the box is good but then logic does
not always work out.
However for 1300 you can't go too far wrong, depends what the interior
is like, rust free/straight body.
Spose you can always drop a Diesel in there, then this crew will fall
over each other to buy it.
So, a 205/65-15 measures:
205 X .65 = 133.25 mm = 5.25 sidewall height
Diameter of tire = 15 + (5.25 X 2) = 25.5
Radius = Diameter / 2 = 12.75
Circumference = (Pi X Radius) ^2 = 161.3
So that tire is 13.44 feet in circumference, then? It's Pi X diameter, not
radiius, of course but

It's not a signal issue. The signal is fine. I have some
65% of 205 (133.25) is taller than 65% of 195 (126.75), and that is a
physical and mathematical fact.

Hey, I never claimed it was LOGICAL - just that it is CORRECT! Your

OK Don, KD5NRO
DIAMETER of the tires = 25 inches, but height of the side walls = 3.5 inches
tall. :)
