GMC specifically prohibits multi-weight oils in a Detroit 2 cycle
engines.

Mixed up my own, grape oil with grapefruit seed extract
and Rosemary extract for preservatives...

didn't work as well as the older straight-grade oils.
Never really said why, or what failure/wear was exhibited
nor what the offending applications were.
Still pretty thin, for those of us who want to

The explanation I heard for using single weight oils in air cooled
engines (and I presume 2-stroke diesels as well) is that they run
quite hot in comparison to liquid cooled engines, and the single
weight oil is less subject to viscosity loss at that neat level.

My opinion is don't get rid of gump. If you buy another used car you can expect
to pay around that much on repairs, overdue maintenance etc in a very short
period. Front end work is basically maintenance as far as I'm concerned.

Actually, these games post date that type of insulation. The wires have what I
understand to be a cloth covered woven insulation, which, while not ideal,
holds up fairly well over time as long as it doesn't get wet.

Well I thought I'd have a quick job of changing my brake pads this
afternoon. On the passenger rear brake the inboard piston is siezed in
the caliper.
So just to get this done before Monday, I'm tempted to try AutoZone or
Pep Boys tomorrow to see if they have one. The one on there now is one

now. I believe the owner's manual for my 87 calls for CD or better

W116, W123, and W126 ball joints are a REAL PITA. My brother finally
made a tool, without which we have ruined a couple pair. It's a LOT
more than $20 to have someone put a pair in, the factory tool is $1200.

Just took in another stray. A tidy but unloved W115 220 (M115 gas) with manual
transmission and NO accessories. Original paint, perfect interior. Found it at
the Pick'n'Pull via Craigslist. This is the car that I posted about earlier;
the LAST thing I needed was another car, but

can usually persuade it to come out, then you need a rebuild kit.
Otherwise, yeah, they are all pretty much the same.
Change the rotor -- I suspect the piston is stuck because the rotor

I told him he would not be using vehicles but SWMBA is a soft headed

Push the piston in and then use the brake pedal to push it out again.
Exercise it a bit and you might be fine, or, as Peter said, it might
be cocked. I would try the exercise bit before I spend more dollars
