Amsoil is NOT non-detergent dino oil, it's basically jet engine oil re-packaged. Supposed to have the same base as older formulations of Mobil 1. The inventor was a jet engine maintenance guy in the USAF and recognized the great superiority of synthetic oils and a marketing opportunity.

Depends on why it's stuck. If the piston is cocked in the bore, you can usually persuade it to come out, then you need a rebuild kit. Otherwise, yeah, they are all pretty much the same. Change the rotor -- I suspect the piston is stuck because the rotor is too thin and the backing plate
