Sounds like air in the injection lines to me.
Check the condition of the fuel lines, remembering that there is a
fuel heater, thermostatically controlled, on that engine. Lots of
hoses, and I be you will find them covered in fuel (and hence leaking).

Hmmm Guess Stanadyne stopped selling their biocide. THat must be
why nobody can find it. I bet marinas still have some of biocide. I

At pickup, mine was running on 4 cyl. (loose delivery valve) and had
only half the brakes. When I installed the 'O' rings etc. from Rusty,
it ran smoothly without a lot of power, until the intake was reamed
out. After that:- O-boy!

I used GG on the wood on the ash tray, which has a plastic backing to
where the wood goes, so far so good. Scratch/clean up the metal (or
plastic) a bit, dampen the wood with some water, apply a bit of GG and
spread it around, then clamp with whatever (I like blue tape).

I got the new switch in. I removed the faceplate over the 3 heater dials to
access it. I sprayed some garage door lubricant into the cable sheath and then
further blew it up the cable with some compressed air. The cable now glides

Fortunately, I am doing this job 3 blocks from HF, so it will be easy
