Actually, what you said is true of compressed natural gas, as opposed to LP
(aka propane), which is heavier than air. The main advantage of alcohol in
marine applications (vs Diesel or kerosene) is that water extinguishes
alcohol fires pretty well. On the other hand, alcohol does not burn as

And yes, I think alcohol is preferred on a boat. Some use propane but it

We have an annual inspection for everything. I suspect bigger trucks have a
different one but I don't know at what point. I think through the 1 ton they're
still considered pickup trucks.
