IIRC, heat also helps loosen rusted threads, though I guess the Kroil will burn off now if you hit it with a torch. Could make a mess of things. If it comes to it, if it breaks off, drill it out and use an "EZ-out" (or whatever they call those things) to get it out and replace it with a new

[MBZ] 12GL450 v 09GL350CDI

I have an opportunity to get a 2009 GL350CDI for $5k. Has been gone through and a lot of engine stuff and major electronics changed out. 180kmi if I recall. Black/black reasonably specced and in good condition. Tow hitch. Needs a transfer case chain which is a fairly simple inexpensive repair.
