They definitely swap side to side and _not _front to rear. I swapped the 2 rear switches and the LR works on both sides and the RR does not work on either side, I took photos of the regulator showing the cable. It looks like replacing the regulator will be a bear! Tell me I'm wrong -

In case anyone cares or is wondering how my car us running following me letting the wrong people work on them . I took it to a qualified shop and just picked it up. Finally it runs normally again. Thankfully they only had to re-do the DV's. But it still shifts firmly when it didn't do

Thanks Roger, I have a small Muffler and Repair Shop that has some really good techs but when I asked about fixing the fuel leak they said they'd rather not as they always get burned when working on MBs and other high end cars. Said it always seemed to take more hours than they are allowed.
