I want to tackle the valves but I don't have the proper wrenches to swing that one. You'll need them. I made mine using the acetylene torch to bend suitable pawnshop cheapies. I had a couple of failures before I got two that worked well. With the dogleg bend in it you can't start with too

Amen, but 35 years in my case. When i was doing it often, I had a 1/2 x 9/16 antique S wrench that I used for the lock nut. It worked very well. Lately I am just using ordinary combination wrenches. I never used a big wrench to keep the valve from turning. I just watch it so I know if it
