I think this is nicely summed up by first referring to the inside cover of the
HP-41C/CV Owner's Handbook and Programming Guide (00041-90313 Rev. D,
December 1982), wherein it states: The success and prosperity of our company
will be assured only if we offer our customers superior products that

So anyone know anything about the Valvoline super blue synthetic
diesel-rated 5W-40? I can buy that any day, all day at any FLAPS, while
the 5W-40 Turbo Diesel Truck Mobil-1 is like trying to find a

Marshall (RIP) always said that the Valvoline synthetics were not
true synthetics and thus not worth the premium over dinosaur juice.
The reason I ask is that there are a lot of hints (certainly no denials from
Mobil) that M1 is no longer the same true (Group IV) synthetic base that it
used to be. If that's the case, why not buy Valvoline (or any other Group III
synthetic) at half the price??

From observations of some folks, the TDT still seems to behave
the same, as in, not burning off quick, where as the 15W50 burns
off at a much higher rate.
