Even a 2.2L Auto 190D will blow the doors off a 240D of any vintage.
I've experienced the neck snapping acceleration of both. Dead bugs
rarely accumulate on the rear

Uh, no, I want another 116 SD, so keep the guurl and sell me the car ;-).
I miss my old one (of course I cursed it nonstop for the last three years or
so I had it). I mean the SD of course.

Actually I don't have an SD yet, figured touring the US in a 201 would be
rough...

Hello everyone.
My sister in So Cal is looking at Mercedes 190E's, the latest one being a
1992 190E 2.6 with 112K miles on it for $3300. The car is for her fiance's
daughter, so they want to find a relatively good one for around 3K. The
first one was a $2700 1991 with 166K miles on it that
Kevin,while the 2.6 is a 6 cylinder gas, the 2.3 is a 4 cylinder gas engine.
The 2.6 is shoehorned in and is hard to work on and not much faster than the
4 cylinder model.
The early 190D is economical but not much faster than a W123 240D.
If I can be of any help out here in the Palm Springs
