Could also be the HOUSING for the monovalve! I had an ineffective new
monovalve insert on my 1983 300TD. It was only when I changed the housing
for one from a junker 300D that everything worked as it should.

unacceptable. In hot weather the AC works fine but the monovalve control is
so indifferent that it initializes and hangs in full heat way too long
especially for someone who is constantly getting in and out
