Is it possible your antenna was replaced with a "generic" unit? IIRC the mast
shoudl have a flatted ring (for a wrench) not a slotted ring (for a spanner).
Does the tip of your antenna have a "h" on the top of it? The Hirschmann's
usually do.

Notched ring? The thing you unscrew is usually a flatted chrome 'nut'
