Thanks. If she hasn't finalized the purchase of the BMW, I'll send this to her.

She said the BMW would be gas. Her '07 Mercedes SUV was plain diesel.

Bingo! I think you could call my daughter and her husband "upper middle class".
They buy the cars they want and pay for repairs without complaint. I'm happy
for their financial success, but I could never live like that.

We had a 2018 x5d that ate its fuel pump twice in 8000 miles. We told BMW
we had no confidence in it. They gave us all the money we had paid on the
lease and the money for the factory hitch and all weather floormats I had
put into it. So we drove it free for 6 or 8 months. I was very glad to see
BAT doesn't want her 12 year old mommy wagon.

I don't think Craig and Shirley are looking for one any more, but IIRC a 2007
CDI isn't a bad engine to have.
The quest for a vehicle continues unabated for me. Since all the new offerings
consist of hard plastic and dreck made from recycled pop bottles and newspaper,
they probably will rot out and suffer electronic failure within a few years of
each other. Confronted with that limitation, the

Somehow I doubt that Gerry's daughter has the same idea as most of us (and
especially Jim) of what is a good value to purchase and operate a car. Maybe
she'll surprise me, and already has constructed an oil sucker from an empty
give gallon pale and an old vacuum cleaner.

Our 2006 BMW X5 is the most expensive vehicle we have ever owned, by far.
And I'm not including the purchase price, either. (We bought it used.)
Never again.

Daughter, who has a 2007 Mercedes GL320cdi SUV, is thinking about buying a new
BMW SUV and selling her Mercedes SUV.
Has anyone heard anything good or bad about BMW's current models or recent BMW
models in general?
Also, what is the best way for her to sell her Mercedes SUV?
I'm wondering
