I think the owners manual for the truck states that tires need to be replaced at 7 years max. That's next year for our 2013 F150 with under 20,000 miles. I'm replacing the tires on the airplane now that are at least 8 years old (don't know how mush older with the PO) with more than 50% tread left -

As a standing rule, 5 years is max safe service life for tires. After 5 years casing starts to degrade on the chemistry level. 7 years is the absolute limit, in my use.
